Education
is a process in which and by which the knowledge, characters, and behavior of
the human being are shaped and molded. Education is a lead to the enlightenment
of mankind. Imam Ghazali said that education is a process that enables an
individual to distinguish between the true and false, the good and bad, the
right conduct, and the evil-doing.Education
in Tanzania- is provided by both the public and private sectors, starting with
pre-primary education, followed by primary, secondary ordinary, secondary
advanced, and ideally, university-level education. The Tanzanian government
began to emphasize the importance of education shortly after its independence
in 1961.

- To create creativity among Tanzanians.
- To combat three enemies of the country; (Poverty, Diseases Ignorance)
- To use the knowledge acquired through education to generate wealth which will be used to generate development.
- To develop cooperation and event adaptability to Tanzania environment
- To build confidence among Tanzanians
- To understand the political system of the country and globally in general.
- To integrate the school and community.
- To guide and promote the development and improvement of the personalities of the citizens of Tanzania, their human resources and effective utilization of those resources in bringing about individual and national development;
- To promote the acquisition and appreciation of culture, customs, and traditions of the peoples of Tanzania;
- To promote the acquisition and appropriate use of literacy, social, scientific, vocational, technological, professional and other forms of knowledge, skills, and understanding for the development and improvement of the condition of man and society.
- To develop and promote self-confidence and an inquiring mind, an understanding and respect for human dignity and human rights, and a readiness to work hard for self-advancement and national improvement.
- To enable and to expand the scope of acquisition, improvement, and upgrading of mental, practical, productive and other life skills needed to meet the changing needs of industry and the economy.
- To enable every citizen to understand and uphold the fundamentals of the National Constitution as well as the enshrined human and civil rights, obligations, and responsibilities.
- To promote the love for work, self and wage employment and improved performance in the production and service sectors.
- To inculcate principles of the national ethic, integrity, national and international cooperation, peace and justice through the study, understanding, and adherence to the provisions of the national constitutions and other international basic charters; and
- To enable a rational use, management, and conservation of the environment.
